The valley station of Stechelberg will be completely rebuilt and – for operational reasons – will be close to the existing station in the direction of Gimmelwald.
The baggage and goods transport in the direction of Mürren will be fully automated. Guests and their baggage always travel in the same cabin. This guarantees that there are no baggage handling delays at the stations and makes arriving and departing noticeably more comfortable.

A new bistro awaits guests inside the valley station of Stechelberg. Whilst enjoying your snack you can sit back and marvel at the imposing rock face of the Lauterbrunnental and the steepest funicular railway in the world.
